TIME FOR BETTER CHOICES
TIME FOR BETTER CHOICES
Joshua 24:15–16
“And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve… but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. And the people answered and said, God forbid that we should forsake the LORD…”
There comes a moment in every life when the Lord calls us to stand at the crossroads and decide which direction we will go. Joshua stood before the people of Israel and reminded them of God’s faithfulness, how He brought them out of bondage, guided them through the wilderness, and blessed them beyond anything they deserved. Then Joshua placed the decision before them: Choose you this day whom ye will serve. It wasn’t a gentle suggestion. It was a defining moment.
We live in a world filled with noise, distractions, and choices that pull us in every direction. Every day, we choose what we will value, what we will feed our hearts with, and what we will pursue. Some choices draw us closer to God. Others slowly pull us away. The truth is simple, our lives today are shaped by the choices we made yesterday, and our future will be shaped by the choices we make right now.
Joshua didn’t just challenge the people; he declared his own commitment: “As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” He didn’t wait to see what the crowd would do. He didn’t base his faith on opinions, trends, or convenience. He made a firm, personal, and courageous decision. That is what God is calling us to do as well, to choose Him intentionally, wholeheartedly, and consistently.
It is time for better choices. Time to choose truth over compromise. Faith over fear. Obedience over convenience. Prayer over worry. Worship over distraction. It is time to choose to lead our homes toward God, to live with integrity, to walk in holiness, and to place Jesus at the center of everything we are and everything we do.
The people of Israel answered Joshua, “God forbid that we should forsake the LORD.” May that be our heart’s cry too. Today is not just another day, it is an opportunity. A crossroads. A defining moment. Let us declare with boldness and conviction: As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. And may our choices from this day forward reflect that commitment.
Be Blessed Eddie
