A LEGACY THAT LIVES ON
This Is The Life – A Legacy That Lives On
2 Timothy 1:5
“When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.”
To me, there’s something very powerful about memories.
Not just recalling moments, but truly feeling the emotion of where you came from, who poured their lives into you, who prayed over you, and believed in you before you even understood what belief really meant.
Paul looked at Timothy and didn’t just see a young man trying to walk in faith. He saw a legacy. He saw a grandmother… a mother… voices and examples that had been planted long before Timothy ever stepped into his calling. That faith didn’t start with Timothy—it flowed into him.
And if we’re honest, the same is true for all of us.
When I think about this new collection of songs that is being released today called, “This Is The Life,” it’s more than just music.
It’s a reflection and a look back.
It’s a gathering of moments, voices, and influences past and present, that have helped shape who I am today.
It may be a slight departure from previous albums in sound or style, but the heart behind it hasn’t changed, it’s still rooted in that same spiritual foundation that was placed in me along the way.
Every song carries a piece of that journey.
Stories from childhood, a memory of simpler days, and lessons learned without even realizing it at the time.
There are moments shaped by family, by grandchildren, by quiet strength, and by the one who has loved me through the many seasons of my life.
Just like Lois and Eunice in Timothy’s life, there are people who have helped form the rhythm of our lives. They didn’t just speak words—they lived them out in front of us everyday.
And those moments have a way of staying with you… showing up later in ways you never expected.
Is there people in your life that doesn’t know the impact they made in you?
If so perhaps this would be a good time to let them know.
This Album is a reminder that “this life” we talk about isn’t built overnight.
It’s layered over time, moment by moment, relationship by relationship.
It’s the laughter, the struggles, the lessons, and the faith that carried you through each season.
And when you pause long enough to remember, you start to see just how much of who you are today came from those who walked with you seasons past.
So this collection is dedicated to my family… to those early influences… and to every person who played a part in shaping the path I walk today.
Because this really is the life—not just the one we’re living now, but the one that’s been built through every hand that helped guide us here.
And if you listen closely, you might just hear a little of your own story in it as well.
